High in the mist-covered mountains of Minas Gerais, Brazil, lies a story over a century in the making. Nestled in the heart of the Mantiqueira de Minas region, at 1,350 meters above sea level, Fazenda Rio Verde has been cultivating coffee since 1887 guided by tradition, innovation, and a deep respect for the land.

Among the farm’s most cherished crops stands a true gem: Yellow Bourbon, a classic Brazilian variety cultivated with care, hand-harvested, and processed using the pulped natural method to bring out its full aromatic depth.

Flavour Profile

This Yellow Bourbon offers a refined and layered tasting experience:

Remarkably balanced—elegant yet bold, sweet yet structured—it performs beautifully as an espresso and reveals even more complexity through pour-over methods like V60 or Chemex.

Origin & Cultivation

Fazenda Rio Verde is one of three estates owned by Ipanema Coffees, one of Brazil’s most respected specialty coffee producers. Surrounded by native forests, waterfalls, and protected ecosystems, the farm combines sustainable agroforestry with high-quality microlot production.

Processing

Pulped Natural: This hybrid processing method removes the cherry’s skin while leaving some of the sweet mucilage to dry with the bean. The result is a coffee that is full-bodied, naturally sweet, yet clean and crisp on the palate.
